That version of 'Oxbow lakes'

So I dug out that Old compilation from back in 1998. I remember that hidden track at the end of disc 1 but I'd forgotten just how amazing it was. Listening again today, it sounds incredible. So odd and haunting. Easily my favourite version. And yet, on Discogs it's known as Oxbow lakes (Unknown Mix).

If you've never heard it, you know what to do.

You are correct. It is a great track.

Then again, I’m partial to everything released from this era of The Orb.

Me too. After the 90s, they never recaptured that sound.

Love this version for sure but the original track will always be the champ in my mind. Come to think of it, I’ve never really heard a version of Oxbow Lakes I didn’t like.

They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.

It's one of my favorite Orb tracks. There's also a bunch of different mixes on the single including one from Andrew Weatherall and an acoustic version by a string sextet.

But this maybe my favorite

Ah, that's so nice. My favourite is still the hidden one on the compilation but as Friendly Stranger said, you really couldn't make a bad version of this.
