This. It has so much to give every time I listen to it (which is not very often, it's a grueling exercise at six hours). I wish I could've been there to see Marian Zazeela's Magenta Lights and hearing the piece live, completely brainless on a variety of exotic designer psychoactive substances.

I would probably consider Young's The Second Dream Of The High-Tension Line Stepdown Transformer as well, the concept and execution is fantastic. That's about as drone as you can get with wind instruments.

This was a lot harder than I expected- the tv season and albums were the toughest decisions for me.

Some of my friends did this but a top 3 of all, except instruments, I added that and dropped 2 off seasons of shows and podcasts. Choosing 3 albums and books would have been too hard for me, haha, but I could live with one podcast and one show

I love the 4th season of the wire, and season 2, which was crazy because at first I hated season 2. But then by season 4, you are prepared for new characters/story, so it was just really good.
