Patterned Media's first compilation with an impressive roster of artists, sounding effin' good. Bandcamp pre-order. Shout out to our @ignatius for appearance. Highly recommended.

a bunch of nice electro-ish tunes on this. a little bit of ambient and a little bit of weird.  a good start for a new imprint.

I wish Ben Milstein released more, I've got all of his physical releases and the latest non-compilation release is Sleeping Robot...

that was supposed to come out on schematic but schematic dragged their feet for whatever reason.  he's always active doing music in some way. just not always electronic stuff. he's playing bass in a jazz band w/really good singer. he's a music teacher so is very versatile.

pre pandemic he played at this surround sound ambient night and did some really amazing stuff. not ambient really.. more like experimental weirdness. was actually pretty intense laptop session.

ten or so years ago he played live a lot in and around portland. was always so good. all kinds of mutations of the Ritual EP and all that experimental bass heavy electro type stuff. i love that EP and that track in particular is all kinds of top tier shit. track 3.

he seems to always have tracks he's sitting on so hopefully some of it find its way out sometime.

he's doing some mixing for other people. he mixed some of the tracks on that Alignment compilation.

he had some stuff come out a few years back on the Bot label from LA.

then i released the untitled EP on buried in time. which i surprisingly still have some copies. of.. and also he's got a track on a vinyl comp i released called "Glib Meetings" as "Vector Idol"

if you've checked his bandcamp you've heard all this but figured i'd post it here because i think his stuff is so good.  i was glad when he put a bancdcamp together w/all his stuff in one place.

I've been following him real close after Hide/Away and Procrastinate on Outside, the Doctor Evil on Touchin' Bass is essential. I remember ordering some Buried in Time releases directly from you like aeons ago, you threw in some CDrs as well. I've got BIT001-006, you threw in 001-005 when I ordered Habituation (2010-09-15) - and later, I ordered Milstein's 009 (2011-01-28) - I've got the emails right here.

The Bot. EP is great, too, and I noticed I'm missing BOT.004-005, maybe should get them sooner or later.

Oh, I made a typo in the first date, it was supposed to be 2010, not 2019. Fixed.

And yeah, I've got about everything else by him, too - the compilations, whether physical or digital. Everyone should have some Milstein in their collection.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve never heard of him before this thread. Just finished listening through his discog - literally all gems.

I'm almost a bit jealous of this, happens less and less often nowadays but when it does, it's awesome.

Sounding great. Sequence of the tracks is on point too. Looking forward to hearing more from this label.

It really is brilliant. Some surprisingly fresh tracks that work really well together.  Lots of new names unfamiliar to me that I will have to dig into.

Thx for that. Can’t get enough Milstein at the mo.

Yeah, I've got that one in digital, and some earlier Roulette releases on vinyl, Wee DJs and Tactical Systems (Scape One).
