Need help finding an old IDM track with female vocalist

Hi all,

A friend of mine bought up a track we used to listen to from back in the 2002ish era and I've been driving myself nuts trying to track it down. 

This was in the early days of file sharing so it was labelled as Aphex + Squarepusher which is clearly nonsense. Anyway, it had a female vocalist through the whole track over a jazzy IDM beat, nothing too heavy and the vocals weren't chopped up or processed really. Likely a remix. 

Some of the lyrics were something like "the blood red lullaby echoing" 

Pls halp if anyone has any leads!

may be we can boil it down a little bit. those lyrics brought up this..

that would also fit the timeline, originally released in 1994..but no official idm remixes, just tribal house..

Well shit, that's clearly the original! 

Some sort of IDM mix. Could have just been one of those "unofficial" mixes where someone puts an IDM track underneath the pre-existing vocals.

well there is a part in that afro deep remix, which is indeed idm-y..just not the whole thing.

actually it is in both remixes

i would also assume, that 'ýour' mix is some sort of dj-mix. the original release is more or less a vocal stem..or may be it was from an actual aphex dj-set..go sherlock!

port rhombus sheila chandra combo?  with a bit of ambient works 2 in the middle?

If the vocalist wasn't known already, I would've guessed Beaumont Hannant with Lida Husik on vocals, but none of the tracks I know about match the above, so...

Their collaborations are beautiful, Evening At The Grange, Husikesque...
