I can dig her voice sometimes, and she's a great performer; acrobatics, painting, etc. We'll see how this pans out.

I really enjoyed Manic (her album in January last year) so I'm very excited for this! It might be going for a different sound but if not I hope it goes for what she did on Nightmare or Experiment On Me!

Sounds like How to Destroy Angels in the clip. Could be interesting.

Never heard of Halsey before. First clip sounded 'interesting', will check out because of the Trent/Atticus production. Intriguing.

However, her vocal style is way too generic, and grating, for my ears.

Motivated to like it but sounds so much like the mashup Limewire days e.g. "halsey_nine inch nails_christina aguilera_smashmouth-mashup.mp3" There's something incongruous about it but I bet the check that showed up to Trent and Atticus was all kinds of right.

Never knowingly heard her/their music but looking forward to listening to this. Quite keen to hear the results of a female pop singer collaboration with Reznor/Ross helming the controls. Also I think The Bug is on 1 track. It all sounds rather intriguing.

Kevin Martin (@bugmanldn) was also slightly involved in producing some small bits of this. not really bothered either way.

Not at at all familiar with Halsey, but enjoy NIN. This is a solid pop album. The way Halsey is singing is I guess how all modern pop is sung and is sometimes grating. TR & AR production is tight as expected and I wouldn't mind them doing more forays into more poppy shit, hopefully with a vocalist with a more original sounding voice.

Agreed about the bland vocal style. Anyway, some cool production touches and NIN avoid falling into their paint-by-numbers thing. Girl is a Gun is a tune.

I guess I'm the only one who likes it here. Didn't know Halsey before. I've learned about the album via the NIN fb page the day it dropped and am kinda hooked since.

Oh my days, this vocal style is bloody awful (IMO) It's like the pop version of mumble rap. 

Girl is a Gun, I am not a woman, I'm a god and The Lighthouse would be nice tunes if I didn't dislike Halsey's vocals. Lighthouse is very NIN, would like to hear Trent/Atticus produce more pop.

I seem to of got bored of this and I haven’t even listened to it yet. Having said that I’m a bit snoozed out with a bad back so maybe that’s the reason why.
