the forms of the communicational structures of slang, in-jokes, social tendencies, interests and tastes, and political opinions, remain locked in the memories of the individuals and groups,  changing over time and influenced by external forces, but nonetheless maintaining a mostly static structure and low velocity of change. however as new brains grow the flexibility and acceptance of novelty creates an in comparison rapid velocity of change, resulting in a severe drift between groups and stagnation increases with age.  as a result the boomerification process is invisible to those who it is being applied to unless the velocity of change is increased through rapid degradation of the self and acceptance of the new external conditions.  for some it seems a post-boomerification calcification or crystallization process occurs.  but does a reverse process, a post-boomerification de-calcification or liquifaction process exist? such a cultural method seems invaluable to those suffering, knowingly or unknowingly, from boomerification

For a commie Zeff is such an elitist, trying to death-conceptualize the most banal processes. Though I guess it's normal since most of leftist over-thinking stems from up-its-ass academia

Is there a way un-boomer yourself, you ask? First world problems!

I think he's talking about neuroplasticity.

Generally, younger brains are more able to create new neurons and neural pathways. But even us olds can still do it, we just need to make sure we don't get stuck in a rut.

So new experiences are key. Learning languages. etc.

I was born in one of those gaps where I don't exactly fit in to any of the marketing demographics we call "generations," so by not being from any generation I've got a kind of a unique perspective on them, and what I've observed is that boomers and millennials are almost exactly the same.

If you take the Konratieff wave starting around WWI when the modern marketing industry began, and superimpose the new technologies and fashion that were being marketed to people between 15 and 25 at the peaks and valleys, that's what generations are.

The rising slopes make boomers and falling make produce.

If you offset it so that it's a bipolar wave,  was born right around the zero crossing between Gen X (punks) and Millennials (boomers).

Power requires exploration. Today, science tells us that the essence of nature is beauty. Nothing is impossible. The future will be an internal flowering of space-time. The Goddess will let us access spatial being. We must recreate ourselves and enlighten others. The stratosphere is approaching a tipping point. We are being called to explore the dreamscape itself as an interface between synchronicity and divinity. We must learn how to lead heroic lives in the face of pain. It is in condensing that we are reborn. You may be ruled by desire without realizing it. Do not let it erase the healing of your quest. We can no longer afford to live with greed. Only a child of the solar system may spark this uprising of non-locality. The world is aglow with expanding wave functions. We are in the midst of a mythic evolving of purpose that will become our stepping-stone to the galaxy itself. Throughout history, humans have been interacting with the multiverse via sub-atomic particles. Reality has always been bursting with pilgrims whose dreams are engulfed in learning.

All it's saying is that people who come of age during high points in the economic cycle tend to be entitled, people who come of age during low points of the cycle tend to resent the ones who came of age during the high points, and beyond that it's mostly superficial differences driven by the o=youth culture industry.  It's not complicated.

So when superimposing these 2 graphs you'd get 1 generation at the peak of each Kondratieff wave and 1 generation at the valley of each Kondratieff wave?
So, one generation would experience the rise/golden age of a certain technology/societal change, while the following generation experiences the downfall/crisis?

More or less, although I'd say that the idea of "generations" as it's usually used, which started around WWI and is intimately tied to the rise of youth culture as a market after the development of the automobile and the general shift from families to individuals as the primary economic agent in the wake of the industrial revolution, is also very closely tied with marketing and the defining characteristics of a given generation are largely a combination of how much material security people in a given age range tended to have during the first 20 years of their life AND what was being marketed to them.

But maybe the most important thing to keep in mind is that "generations" are a silly concept that doesn't mean nearly as much as people think it means, and this whole theory is based around the idea that it's funny to overanalyze something that's too vague to bear that kind of overanalysis anyway.  Generational analysis is about on par with having a very serious, measured discussion of whether Batman could beat up Superman.  It's fun and games until people start to actually take it seriously.

EDIT: also when people talk about "generations" they're almost always just talking about middle class white people in North America (the most powerful youth market of the 20th century).
