exael - live @ public records

live set from exael. really lush, bassy, breaky, hard stuff. definitely worth checking out.

he has been releasing tracks recently and it features some of those - and they have all been excellent as well. i really like the direction he is heading.

The only thing I don't like 100% is that live acts are always made "danceable". Sounds like the IDM way to sell beer or something. Not saying is bad, but I'd rather sit down and listen tbh.

hes got plenty of more ambient leaning stuff.

his more recent stuff is definitely more banging - i dig it.

On first impression these tracks aren't my favorite thing from exael but I'll definitely give them another / closer listen.

The album Flowered Knife Shadows recently sounded so good when I gave it a listen while running. And aphelion lish, and collex are also both great albums.
