Setaoc Mass - Horror Vacui

 

I had already grown quite weary of Setaoc Mass' techno sound, but he's regained my interest with this album. It's a bit in the same category as Yan Cook's Rhomb alias, techno producers doing something different. Highly recommended, both of these.

Still bummed to have missed him when he was here recently

He really is. And SK Eleven is an excellently curated label. They stand out from many of their peers as far as the whole "dark warehouse" side of techno goes, they seem to care about maintaining some groove and feeling in there

As we move towards a world with less and less physical media, this sort of thing will become increasingly common
