Most probably, which makes it boring from a competition standpoint, but I've never cared who wins, I'm in it for the cheese.

USA tried their hand at something similar with the American Song Contest, but it was mostly boring because there was no cheese and everything was too serious. The winner was weird.

I noticed it in the semifinals, if it's a real one, it not a cheap prop, because only the vocals are live, the backing tracks are pre-recorded.
