built into the very fabric of reality.  deeper than the strings and older than what came before them.  words accepted as the will of the etched logos itself, echoing into the future, carried out by that material they command.  the banality of their grunts and sighs overshadows the echoes into distant lands.  their seeing not subject, their gaze never downtrodden into mere object, to any chants or consecrated charms.  ever watching, ever lumbering, and in all lands never casting away, for over its subjects its grip is absolute, and even they who cast the rippling stones themselves can do nothing but what is commanded
