Yes ofcourse but I thought that the footage from ZP would be so nice to MR. I also make a lod of music vids to own footage.

I edited one of Boards Of Canadas all time favourite movies

Zabriskie Point. I think the visuals and the pics fit as

good as BOC said....they imagined the album to be like that

movie.

They mentioned in a lot of TCH interviews that both the

visuals and almost the whole theme of TCH is like the road

movie Zabriskie Point (by the way, excellent movie)..

zabriskie point didn't came first to my mind when i listened tch.

original footage would have been nice of course but i think those clips really fit with the song.

the good: the footage really fits the mood of the track...pastoral and epic, yet sentimental and serene. classic boc imagery. i've never seen the original movie, but the footage works. you had some really cool transition edits in there too. there were a couple of fades which went from shot 1 to shot 2, which a third shot moving faintly in the background. nicely done.

the bad: although you had some cool fades and transitions, i think you missed an opportunity to more closely marry the footage to the music. this track has a very deep, prominent bassline. it would have been cool if your edits synced up with the bass notes more. at times, the footage and the music seemed like two separate pieces playing at the same time rather than one unified piece. syncing might have helped that.

yes good stuff indeed but like LOL Alzado said, it could use some proper syncing... it's a bit too much asynchronous at various points.

for the rest nice job!

I've never seen this film, but I have seen one of his other movies Blow-up, which was very nice.

THis footage suited the music, ut it could have been synced just a little more.

better than expected; i thought it synced reasonably well, though i can understand the criticisms. the vibe of the film went very well with the track, imo (and i'm not sure that every music video needs original footage)

Will post "Slow This Bird Down" I made this before that MR video and its not own footage aswell...but im working on Satellite Antehm Icarus and 84 Pontiac Dreams and those are made with own footage.

uhm I got a question for you Joyrex...I hope its ok with Boards Of Canada that I use their music and making these videos...I havent asked them but I mean its not a commercial purpose at all, its just that I admire their music and feel most inspired to make something to their stuff.

I really hope that BOC in the near future will make the soundtrack to a upcoming movie like they said in a recent interview, because their music fits so well with visuals..and their music also brings out a lot of emotions.

I havent asked for the copyright to use Zabriskie Point eiter

unless you're making money from the videos, i don't see how any of the parties involved could really have a problem with it

excellent work man, i only managed to track down a handfull of vids from the old competition, and abstract visuals with boc on the audio is all like -sensory overload- in a pleasant way.

i really liked your video. as i said before, it would have been nice if your transitions synced with the music more, but otherwise, it's really nice work.
