Been over a decade since I've visited this forum and I've missed it at times. Instant lol's all over general banter though ! So who's still kicking around?

Essines doesn't post any more - he was in a diabetic coma for a long time and has forgotten much of his life. Sorry to bring everyone down…

I used to post under a different name on the same account but in the intervening years I've realized I was transgender, drifted away from the forums and then at some point came back. Don't post as much as I used to, since I'm in better health/less manic and hypomanic like I was in my earlier days here but I still love Autechre. I'm also definitely a lot more into more "normal" electronic stuff like techno, jungle, and so on than the IDMs these days, but Ae still scratches an itch no one else can. I remember your name and face but don't totally remember your old posts, I'm sorry to say. Good to see you back around these parts, though.

I think I joined originally in 2002 or 2003 when I was first going down the rabbit hole with Autechre et all (original name was Nirqbomb). I was more active in those early years and haven't posted as often since but it's been a regular part of my web browsing diet for about 20 years!

I've been around since 2005 but I was and still am an infrequent poster.  Can't remember what my usernames were back then.

I miss TheJacketLoose, that dude was funny (hence my sig).  Where did he go?

2006 and i haven't even changed it. beat that.

joined in 2004. posted as handsplatter back then. whenever the forum went down in 2005 I left. was working a long hour shit job back then and didn't have much free time to do internet stuff. there were also no mobile devices with fast internet back then like there are now. rejoined in 2006 because I was drunk one night and wanted to comment on something. then I didn't really post too much until I got sucked back a few years back, thanks to all the political threads that popped up on here whenever dumbo became president.

I go in phases with electronic music. sometimes I hardly listen to it and sometimes it's all I listen to. I'm of the opinion that the best of this genre was all created back in the '90s/early 00s. I still have a lot of this stuff on CD, and listen to those when I need a nostalgia fix. whatever was in the air/water back then that led to this spark in creative explosion left this planet awhile back. I don't think there's been anything close to the scene that Richard, Luke, & all the brothers happened upon in the '90s. there's been a lot of shit music dumped out there thanks to internet. I've kinda hit a point where I stop looking for new stuff. yeah I suppose I fall into the category of grumpy middle aged dude shaking fists at the sky. 

So who's still around  waiting 10 years for a new BoC album?

I still consider myself new to the board but I joined in 2011 so  I guess I'm not really.
