Buspin Jieber - Lazerdisc (Touched)

A new Buspin Jieber album, listened to the release stream and instabought. Highly recommended.

New Oberman Knocks and now this? And I'm about to embark on a 2+ hour drive..

Admittedly I was a bit wary at first due to the artist name's resemblance to Justin Bieber. But the track Infection in particular is a banger, so I'm convinced.

I might be missing out on some gold here, but one can only do so much. I can't stand these quirky little name plays to the point I would most likely judge the book by the cover and end up compromising the sanctity of my beloved and well-nurtured musical curiosity. you guys enjoy :)

I would rather listen to brilliant music with a silly name by myself than utter shite with a cool name that you can impress your friends with.

I've listened to this album at least three times in its entirety since release. Ended up liking it more than I thought I would.

Don't let the artist name fool y'all. This isn't some Top 40 latest hits trash. I can best describe it as synth wave with a bit of BoC seasoning. I found certain melodies to be somewhat reminiscent of Brothomstates as well.

Buspin Jieber is the synthwave alias of Icelandic Gudmundur Gudmundsson, also known as his IDM nom de plume Murya - with four albums out on Möller, Touched, and Dyadik.

if a name is meant to impress then I'm probably put off just as badly, but I guess I'd give it a bit more of a chance since it might not be trying so blatantly to fit in a memetized fad which, frankly, one could argue follows a similar pedantic acceptance pattern, just in a more hipster-sarcastic way
