Gimmik - News From The Past (n5MD)

A new Gimmik album, the opening track sounds fierce, but I for one will wait for more to make any judgement. Tentatively recommended.

The originally was a CDR / Digital only release. It’s a collection of unreleased tracks, hence the title ‘News From The Past.’

This new rerelease has a slightly different track line up than it’s predecessors. You’ll have to work out what was retained, added or omitted for yourself.

If you have a majority of his back catalog, the sound of this will be familiar.

Ah, didn't check for a re-release, so this one is, from 2006. Would be nice if things like this were mentioned alongside the BC release.

The album art made me wonder. Very mid-aughts.

Love Gimmik and miss the Toytronic crew! Abfarht Hinwil, Ochre, Point7 etc.. 

Dope, first track was not on the original release, sounds yum to my ears!

Keep that old school IDM flavour alive no doubt
