Yann Novak - The Voice of Theseus [Room40]

New album dropped on the 7th of July, CD and digital. 

Great album, a little bit different from his earlier work too. 

A little different ? - This is like a hardcore gabber noise album in comparison to his previous releases

Haha, English understatement. As much as I love his long-form work, I'd be happy if he explores this style. 

Seeing Light Without Knowing Darkness wouldn't be out of place on labels à la Dream Catalogue, Pure Life...

Yeah absolutely, great he's trying such a different styles and track durations in these pieces. As much as I adore his lovely-longform-gassy-ambient clouds (and I really do!) sometimes your ears want something less amorphous to focus on

I'd recommend checking out Relocation.Reconstruction, a great long form drone piece initially released on Line, and Blue.Hour.
