OMC Tracks

Rich has recently released 7 tracks with OMC near the end of their titles, the 3 recent soundclowns and the 4 alternate mastered tracks on BBLREP. We already know that those 4 are mastered/processed on old Analogue hardware.

This begs the question is he mastering more than just the Mt Fuji tape?

Can we expect it to be added to his website and we will maybe get the mastered soundcYolown files even though that section was removed from the site?

Or has he just done these 3 to create a bit of noise around release date because a load of people had already heard 3 of the 4 EP tracks. I think that is probably unlikely

In the track description for the matriarch track on SoundCloud he mentions the OM-1 cassette recorder. Presumably that is OMC. it looks pretty nutty: http://www.ondemagnetique.com/shop/om-1

There's no way he's using that to master these tracks. That is more of an instrument.

And he has OM1 and OMC in the track title of Matriarch...

Don't think he'd be putting it in twice to refer to the same thing

OMC = Original Master Copy ?

Something "mastering chain" maybe. Standard mastering chain he uses when mastering his own stuff? Optimal Mastering Chain?

Could also be Optical MultiBand Compressor http://www.tube-tech.com/smc-2b-multiband-opto-compressor/. Or "On My Couch".

Some people think it could be "Ouch! My Crotch" but no one uses the word Crotch vocally, so It's clearly "Overly Mustardy Crisps" which is a fave snack of his whilst exporting tunes in all the formats needed for delivery in the second decade of the 21st century.
