Blaž - Are You A Player

I made a new album. It will be released this year :)

Today I released the first single. You can listen to it here:

BLAŽ - DAWN

"Five years after the last album, the coastal producer Blaž releases "Dawn", a single that heralds the new full-length record "Are You A Player". A sunny piece of music for a sunny August continues the story of Blaž's exploration of the fringes of electronica, as he mixes sinusoidal arpeggios with sampled drums and thus invents something that moves effortlessly between rock, house, psychedelia and children tunes. "Dawn" is certainly the brightest piece from the upcoming album "Are You A Player", which will be released later this year and contains a collection of Blaž's most mature songs to date."

"Electronic producer Blaž's fourth full-length album is called "Are You A Player" and is his most mature work to date. In the five years since the release of his previous album "Steven", Blaž has accumulated a great deal of experience by composing music for theater performances (for which he received the Borštnik Award in 2021) and playing keyboards in the rock band Lelee. The result is a compact and gourmet collection of ten songs, each telling its own story, each taking its own unexpected turn, yet each building on the concept that pervades the record. "Are You A Player" is an anthem for creators of all arts around the world, an ode to all the people who invent and spread their ideas, and it's also a ticklish hip-hop appeal to all other producers to also explore the distant possibilities of electronic music. Guests on the album are Damjan Manevski with guitar ("Soup") and the Girls' Choir of the Koper Music School ("Steam")."

took a walk and gave this a full listen today, really good stuff. every track kinda spins out its own little ideas and worlds and one moment isn't any guarantee of the next, which is well done here. jazzy touches in some moments, but overall just a really cool set of tracks. i imagine a lot of folks here would be into it if they gave it a shot.
