Marina Herlop - Nekkuja (PAN 141)

Super interesting record. i saw this singer live last year, where she opened with a cover of the Ghost in The Shell theme. You can tell there is a high level of musicianship, yet it feels guided by intuition and not technical acrobatics or whatever. The bass sounds super nice on headphones for some reason.

Liked this a lot on the first two spins.

Her first PAN album last year was promising but I never quite fell in love with it, (although I probably needed to give it more listens) - it had some of the most interesting and unusual vocal work Ive heard in a long time. Will def check this one out.

Yeah her last PAN album never quite clicked for me. Liking this one much more.
