Boomkat's album of the week is not usually mine but last week it was. Heavy sub-bass tectonic abstract dub with a lot of gauzy textures. Listen on something with real low end. As good as anything on West Mineral.

I am enjoying this as well, I loved their first record that came out a couple of years ago on 3XL - this one is a bit more chill, with shorter tracks/vignettes. Not sure which one I prefer yet.

Hotel Nota is such a great album. I agree there are some parallels here.

I tend to favor beatless stuff these days but there are some interesting rhythms on the first one. I need to give it a few spins.

some interesting stuff. big and spacey. first track on that brought warped Salt-N-Pepa "Push it" vibes.. even later on w/the synths. 

not a criticism. just where my brain went.

Stroom is a great label. So many interesting records.

This is so good. This Florian T M Zeisig is something else.

Anyone know what sub-genre this is ? Between this and the above mentioned Hotel Nota you also have similar sounding albums from these folks:

All full of swirlying pads and hydrophonic underwater noises and field recording snippets.

Ambient Seaside-core ? 

there is tonnes of this stuff. doesn’t really have a genre name that’s stuck.
