New EP out today :

If you are serious about IDM and abstract Electronica chances are that you know about Oberman Knocks, whose music was touted by Autechnre's Sean Booth as making Autechre sound 'like a posh garden party.'
With ‘Khaptop Arc Phore’ Oberman Knocks continues the tradition of confronting the listener with pointy shards and blunt electronic knifes, but adds a strong emphasis on a softer and more human layer. As stated by himself this release is ‘really a glimpse into some months of both emotional and thought processing around the loss of friendship and love.’

This is great. Abstract slabs that are engaging. Each track feels like it's been going on forever, you just happen to be dipping into a fragment of it, if that makes sense.

Thanks for posting this. I wasn't feelin Conder-Rhyptik back in 2022 much for some reason. Trilate Shift on the other hand happened to release two days after my dad died, which I was listening to pretty hard as cope at the time. Great winter album. And of course Dilankex got that stellar remix from Ae before that.

But yeah, gonna add this one to my BC shopping cart.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

I feel your sentiments. I admit I found OM because of Dilankex remix which is tops for me. On a whole OM is kinda lackluster - a few good tracks and a lot of post-industrial fluff

i like the sounds a lot in this release, I generally like his sound design, but not much of the music 😕

but hey! im still very sirius bout idm!

"If you are serious about IDM [...] Autechnre's Sean Booth"

<- Shostakovich serious about facepalming. plns.
