The Future Sound of London - Captures EP (fsoldigital, 5th November)

I think this is the first 'conventional' FSOL EP since We Have Explosive back in the '90s. From the subtitle of pre8ep001, my guess is it's material from the Environment 8 sessions, that album is due next year. Blue 12" and digital download, pre-order now, released 5th November.

Very excited to hear this. I wasn't that fond of the last evnironment releases to be honest. It sounded a bit bland? Hopeful that 8 will be better. TBH I haven't really enjoyed an FSOL record since E3

Are there any samples for this? Humanoid is instabuy for me, but FSOL isn't.

The Juno blurb suggests there'll be a second pre-8 EP next year before the album.

Yeah, one track from this will be on the album. This is definitely a conventional pre-album EP/single type affair, unlike the De:Tuned releases getting expanded reissues on FSOLDigital six weeks later which is... always awkward.

Fentanyl is absolutely amazing!! I've played this so many times this weekend. I've had to order the vinyl. I need that track on vinyl!!!

Honestly getting quite a Dead Cities vibe from this. It's stylistically not that dissimilar to other FSOL of recent years, but it sounds a bit... I dunno, fresher maybe?

Yeah, I agree. Great tracks. It'll be great if the next EP and album are anything like these!
