Then Rob comes in casually to Berlin to play a banger of a Gescom set on his own but nobody is even there.

It was perfect -  sounded like he was playing some of the unreleased hiphop as well the one they talked about in the recent interview. Most of the stuff I was not able to tag in Shazam so who knows

Hi, new user etc. I was there. To my ears a lot of it sounded like more modern Autechrian breed than straight up Gescum but it was more beaty and emotionally direct than their live sets for instance, or for that matter the NTS stuff. I was wondering if it was Rob only stuff? The structure was better than the NTS stuff. I was beside myself with joy. There was a bit with Stud from Tri Rep but with modern beats and a very strange skeletal ambient version of Pro Radii where the samples went on for ages. He played other people's music as well but I would say the majority was unreleased Autechre, I could be wrong. It was magic, sorry there are no recordings.

It sounded like normal hiphop at the beginning but then these complex autechre beats chimed in

He played lots of tracks that sounded  autechre like or where tracks by autechre so it’s hard to tell if it was unreleased or just something rare he likes

Very good description. You couldn’t really tell what it was but the whole set sounded so autechre like that I even went to the stage to check if he was actually djing or if this is some kind of secret live gig but it was only him

I was near the front and saw him DJing, he was quite active on the decks. I got excited when I saw he had a laptop for what I assume was extra processing

i wonder if he had some AE alt/unreleased cut to vinyl (assuming the decks y’all mention were real vinyl decks)

No they were those big Pioneer CDJs that everyone uses. But there was a laptop in use as well.
