Used to be really awesome around 2018 and 19 but now all of it is pretty ubremarkable.

I also found it pretty weird that they thought they had to rename the label, I don't think id every associate "whities" with something discriminatory?

I agree there has been a bit more of a drift towards art rock or sort of sophisticated arty-pop which generally isn't my thing - there has been a few records where I have really struggled to connect with at all but I wouldn't say theyve lost it. In the last 3 years theyve put out great records by Sky H1, DJ Python, Coby Sey, Shackleton, Lanark Artefax, Joanne Robertson just off the top of my head. I like the Moin stuff as well and they have their other regulars who put out dependable stuff. I liked that Jasmine Wood record this year which seemed to be a study of piano & reverb. But yeah Im not gonna shame the ones I didnt like at all- there's been a fair few.

Lanark is great of course, haven't heard the new Moin album yet.

Agreed with Species8472. When I discovered Whities and had their back catalogue to go through it was a pretty amazing experience. Not Warp level but still super good music. Then Nathan Micay and Overmono jumped ship and then I heard they had changed their name after the BLM hysteria. And since then they have completely disappeared from my radar.

The rename roughly coincided with the enshittification of the label. That's maybe a bit harsh, but it's often just not my thing. They have some amazing stuff by under the new name though, like Avalon Emerson, Sky H1, Minor Science (!!), Olof Dreijer, Anunaku - but that's about it for a WATMMer. The fact that they're pumping out a lot of this art grad stuff is probably because it's working for them.

EDIT: they started as a Young Turks sublabel (YT, why-tee, whities). Had no idea.

Neither did I, but it does add up as they share a lot of the same sensibilities. I also didn't realise they had also changed their name to Young. And AD 93 have their own sublabel called Lith Dolina.
