Jeff Mills on not signing Aphex Twin

This was news to me. It's an old interview though.

I assume he's talking about Underground Resistance. But it could be Axis. (haven't had the time to dive deep into the interview yet)

I can only think of the usual suspects when it comes to detroit. Planet E, Plus 8, Fragile/Transmat, Metroplex.

R&S would also be a big one. (Not detroit of course)

There is a link between warp and plus 8  (fuse, speedy j). And Kenny Larkin had something on Warp. But typical warp artists rejected, dunno. Would love to hear more stories. I would be surprised if there aren’t more examples like this. 
 

Curiously he said they rejected tracks which eventually became analogue bubblebath. Rdj had this specific set of tracks in mind for a release ? 

edit: o, and Drexciya has an interesting link between underground resistance, rephlex and warp!
