Is there another recording of the earlier set?

See the "Gescom @ Strange Brew" thread a few down from this one, it's in there

The two sets in Berlin and Bristol were two of the most memorable sets in living memory for me, properly varied and inspiring, so of course I wish I could go to this but I can't. Sote on top of the same line up that was in Bristol is really cool, should be a great night. Powell and Not Waving were wicked.

I was going to go.

But then on the night I couldn't be arsed.

I realise this is not very helpful.

Were you in the general area? I hope it wasn't the same as Bristol, cos it was such a good set but it was so sparsely attended, it worried me that Rob might get discouraged from continuing.

Getting back to Liverpool was what put me off.

There was a national express at 1am ish which I would've absolutely missed, so then I'd have to premier inn it or just stay out til the trains started which I wasn't feeling. Or get a £60 taxi.

It all went wrong when I realised (on the day) that it was an early show (finished at 12) and not a club night.

For a couple of days I was seriously tempted to get a national express up from London and stay for the Regis show afterwards, I couldn't have afforded accommodation at such short notice, but I didn't do it in the end...way too much really, I would've aged by at least a couple of years. I'm not in my 20s anymore and after Rob I'd have had enough I reckon. The pang of regret I feel is to do with the fact that I don't know how many opportunities are left to me to hear and see a night of quality electronic music like that again. Maybe I don't know how to find good nights but increasingly when I do go out, it's one thing I like surrounded by 3 or 4 DJs I've never heard of playing quite generic techno.
