Sold your effect pedals for amp and cab sims?

I have a boss metal core distortion pedal and a rme babyface pro fs with cables.

I can connect my guitar to the input on the distortion pedal.

I know i can get a signal boost for my microphone using a 25db microphone preamplifier that i don't have even.

How could a "preamp"-lifier for any specific microphone provide a power amp type of boost as a "preamp"? By the "lifier"! As in amplifier in combination resulting in "Preamplifier". Right?

Okay.

A guitar preamp and or amp head would require a balanced out (direct box?) to go straight to the p.a system other than a connection that goes direct to a guitar speaker cabinet, correct?

But, to enable a distortion pedal to have an amplfied power amp'd (loud enough and clean enough) signal you  need a active direct box, depending on the brand name and make or model. Active meaning... There's a power amp inside the direct box other than using a passive direct box. Correct?

So, what would an active direct box do for a distortion pedal? Act as a power amp with the obvious volume knob (for loudness) and low and high knobs for (preamp eq) and finally the gain knob for distortion on the metal core. 

A microphone preamplfier like a Cloud Microphones CL-1 Cloudlifter Mic Activator is a 25db volume boost for a specfic mic that requires a microphone preamp. Soyuz makes a mic preamp similar to the cloud microphones. With added coloration i can purchase either with the local music (stores as in plurl meaning several) mind you.

Now, either you own that much of data or i call and explain everything i said to a technical assitant and then make the purchase logged into my music store account that requires a computer that has broadband and wifi internet access. squirtadiblehfirnistulardureansquitchle
