Dub in electronic fashion

Not old school traditional Dub
Is it Dubstep then? Nope!
Is it Dub Techno then? No not really

This genre is one of my favorite and I don't know what to call it more than Dub but it has more of a modern style and lean towards electronic music like idm, ambient etc..

I will be filling up here with all my favorites that I like alot and u are also welcome to share stuff here!
It is totally fine if it leans more to the Ambient or more Bassy to the Dubstep side as long it is still Dub!

I start with some tracks here to set an example of what I'm aiming at:

It's dub ala late 2000s early 2010s with a 4/4 kick. A very polished and slightly boring version of what Rhythm and Sound did. Deadbeat fits perfectly into this category.

Made me think of this album that I haven't heard in ages

Vsnares' Cubist Reggae? 😛 And Bluetech too.

Some really nice tunes in the OP by the way.

Yeah that is some good stuff! Thanks alot!

Ofc Vsnares Cubist Reggae fits very well! Remember it can lean towards the more experimental stuff as long it has that Dub reggae style vibe!!

Not a VS fan, but remember I liked that EP. Time for another spin methinks.

Nice thread idea @cern & hawt choons so far. A few divers album recs for y'all in this dub-nexus, if anyone else vibes off album recs please do also!

Richard Dorfmeister – A Different Drummer Selection...... smooth/sexy dancehall/dub
Pole – 1-3 - Actually a comp of 3 albums but they're all great; spacey/sparse almost dub-techno with crazy subbass
Tino – Tino's Breaks Volume 5: Dub - this is just fun and all over the place from Jack Dangers and Co. Endless replay value.

And lastly this Solid Steel mix by KM is just 🔥

Haha! The problem is that most new dub is insanely boring. Rhythm and Sound still sounds fucking fresh and somehow never gets old or boring whereas some of these new dub artists are doing stuff very similar to RS but simply aren’t able to nail that magic that they did back in the 90s.

Came here to post this, wonderful album

Not 100% how you'd classify this - industrial dub, dubpunk-tronica, dub-noise post-apocalypse core .... whatever it is it was a nice discovery when it appeared in my Youtube suggested videos last year:

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Honestly guys I really don't care if it is a "boring 4/4-beat" 8-bar beat, 1/2-beat or the beat is in my cock as long it has that Dubby vibe but is not traditional Dub, DubTechno or DubStep.

Straight to the point:

And this one more experimental but if u have a close listen and u will hear the Dub groove:

How about 303+Dub is that really something that can be working?
