Hi - I am happy to help support watmm.  If it means directly, financially - technologically through its development (web, backend, whatever) - restructuring how it operates (as in if it needs any modernity applied such as different cloud storage options or something to reduce its budget) and all of that.

I'm happy to help.  Also, I can try to understand where Joyrex is coming from in making a decision to move on in ways in life.  I've done this with a forum of maybe 22-thousand people where, at a certain point, it did move to the wayside of my priorities; I'm speaking solely of my situation and know nothing about this watmm situation other than maybe one or two quotes I'd captured of joyrex's writing about it.

In whatever way is possible, for me to offer paying for it to keep it going for some agreed term, say whatever carries it to 2026  - whereby "it" just keeps going and I do nothing other than give money, I'm open to hearing the figure that this involves.  But I'd love to do that in the least intrusive manner possible, which is kind of impossible other than asking for a quote.  There must be some way to achieve that (getting a quote) without it being invasive, but I might be failing to think of how.  Still, I'm open to possibly covering all of it.

There's still the thought of wanting to conclude and move on without having any mental load of maintaining or "what do we do at 2026 then."  So - maybe other people would take over with handling the actual needfuls or maintenance tasks; but they don't have to pay anything cuz I will.  I'm not particularly active on this forum, which lets you know I care about its concept of existing, but have no personal bias on how it should be (thus making me an actual good candidate for just patronizing it instead of ulterior motives for evangelizing something like a prick).

The purpose of keeping it till 2026 is to also identify any archival operations that should be done so when the final full cut or switch is done in 2026 to a completely new site, this entire thing is preserved for the people who want to be able to review it, re-live it, and it doesn't go half-archived by archive.org capturing only what is crawlable and loses any/all binary attachments and all that shit you find out after-the-fact when something really disappears.

My proposal here is only a fragment and there are probably others to fill in the rest, offer amendments to it, or whatever.  Cuz I'm here to HELP and I bet if others are, it'll get a fuckin lift bruh.

I'm down to participate in the solution. I said this would primarily be $$$ and I wouldn't be able to guarantee time to be involved in actually doing stuff but that is flexible, I'm open.
