Unreleased early Black Dog album?

waaay back I remember talk (not online) about an album length set of sessions or demos from the time of Bytes

unfortunately never got to hear it or bag a copy

perhaps it's that 

There was a LOT of material released on compilations and obscure EPs in that era, and Plaid have released even more previously unreleased content from that time period too.  Surprising that there would be a whole album unreleased also, especially if it was conceived as an album (i.e. with intentionally album quality content).

There's this thing:  

there was also a tape. i think 10 years ago. that was shared. 16 tracks. (8 on each side?) it's called "bits"  by black dog productions.

haven't listened to the whole thing atypic posted in the post before me, but the first track is the same. so my guess is that what i have is from the same source, but cut into individual tracks.

that was shared here on watmm a long time ago. can't find the thread atm, because the search function is horrid.

Was there not talk of a mythical Black Dog album due for release on GPR, that was lost in the mists of time after the label went belly up?

I'd love to hear more of their stuff from around the Bytes era.  Still one of my favourite albums.

It's such a shame that they had irreconcilable creative differences and split up, the BD output from the original trio is legendary

I don't think I ever heard of an unreleased GPR album, but that sounds intriguing.

I hear you about original TBD line-up, but there has been plenty of great post-split TBD releases and Plaid too.

I may be misremembering.  Might have been a Balil album.
