Extra Analogue Bubblebath 3 track WTF?

Go down to Analogue Bubblebath 3, it lists the CD tracklist, but with the 3 extra tracks (.38, [smelly cunts] and the bathwater at the end of track 13).

But it also lists a "#10" between CD track 9 and AFX 6/b! And it lets you listen to the sample, it is a completely new track!

Where on earth did it come from? :omg:

I can't listen to the loops, but my guess is that those tracks are from Analogue Bubblebath vol 3.1. It does say "Analogue Bubblebath 3 + 3.1".

Man, I remember visiting that site about seven years ago when I had first heard some Aphex Twin stuff... Made me want to buy all of the releases as soon as possible! Great site!

i'd like to hear this sample, can't get it to play.

I can't get the sample to play either. Does anyone know the track length? I'm guessing it's one of the run-out groove tracks, but don't know 'til I hear it or get more info.

Ah, it's just the run-off groove track. On some turntables the sounds lasts a wee bit longer than that. Thanks for posting the audio.

Thanks for answering my question! I've been wondering about this for ages. Some times after I started this thread, I heard about a ninth track on the original vinyl version of AB3, which lasts for a second. This is the track, right?

Depends on the turntable on how much of the track you get to hear. Track 5 lasts three seconds and sounds like a record spinning quickly in reverse, and Track 10 lasts for four seconds and sounds like a grinding piece of machinery.

Wow.. turns out AB3 is even more confusing than I thought. I had no idea there was a short track at the end of Side A, too.

I think the microwave intro on .000890569 (CD release) puts a lot of people off too. It could be misconstrued as a separate track. It's the sound of a vacuum cleaner that starts the same track on the vinyl.

Anyone have a clip of said microwave?

My CD and LP both have the vacuum, but both are re-issues.
