This video shows that yes, indeed, you are skilled at using a kaleidoscope plug-in. Good job overlaying these kaleidoscopic images on top of each other.

I actually didn't have a plug in for this project - essentially I cropped each image, then flipped them horiztonally, veritcally etc. (A pretty painstaking process... I wish I had have known about a plug in...) But the [intended] artistry of the video (if there is any) is in the cinematography, and the selection of scenes, which was also painstaking. you can't just apply a kaleidoscope to any old scene and make it look good - it took quite a bit of thought, time and planning. You'll also notice that aside from the straight cuts, theres a number of other sequences where the images move or are connected to other images to fit with the song - also something that a lot of thought was put into.

Yeah that was pretty neat, I liked some of the imagery in the background but the actually foreground kaleidoscope thing was a little crude at times.

I still reckon that the best amateur BoC videos are that Olsen Cowboy Bebop one and the Sunshine Recorder one that every one seems to hate. With the well. The Rue the Whirl one is good for laughs too.

i think that there is good imagery but i dont think it goes well with the song. the song is really happy, u made it dreary. but i couldnt do any better so..

If you're referring to the sequence after the intro with the circular lights - yeah - they do look crude, and it bothers me every time I watch it - essentially I had a number of technical issues making this, and I was forced to start from scratch twice after thinking it was complete - after working on it for quite a while, I lost patience and moved on to other projects, mainly because I had no illusions about boc ever using this. There's a number of other parts that make me cringe - the mushroom bit looks like crap, and there's a few other images that are clearly just kaliedoscoped - if I could go over and do it again, which I actually might do, I'd remove the whole 'lights' sequence as well as the obvious kaleidescopes - but again, its difficult for me to justify more work on this thing... then again, why am I putting something sub-par online?

also keep in mind that youtube compressed it to hell, so it looks infinitely better on DVD, or downloaded as an avi or something - if anyone wants one, post your email address and I'll send you a link.

i rather enjoyed that, and yeah the only bit that bothered me was the ligh effects at the beginning... it was synched well, but it looked crude (on youtube) but i'd still dig on a download
