should i aim to do everything in Live?

i've got loops, i've got samples...i DON'T have self-made basslines or drum sequences... should i aim to do it ALL in Live or are there better programs to have it work in conjuction with? I can spend some $$$ if need be.

When i first got Live it was in conjunction w/ a 300 mb file of drum breaks I came across. So at first i used Live by itself to get my head around the program. Recently I have been using Reason and Reaktor within the Live enviornment and loving it.

Cant you use softsynths in live? Is midi sequencing very good? Ive never used it.
