Guest Thisket
This is tits! I usually hate vst/computer music, but this was quite dynamic. I wanna do a remix based on the first part of the song. Tell me which keys you pressed so I don't have to use my brain. Meadows and Labyrinths
real obvious melody... and that beat is completely without merit. the composition is weak. very digital sounding, not feelin' that high treble either. not feelin' this at all, no offense. Guest yan_g
Like the vibe and the sounds. Love the part from 3:00 to 3:53, it's got a lot of energy. then 4:37 to then end (except that i don't get why a fading out) love it too.love that monophonic synth. it sure has a digital sounding but it a good way. it's not a computer-made boc rip-off so no probs. on the bad side, i couldn't get a logical evolution in the trakc and i found the beginning a little boring, with only the beats changing, seemed meaningless to me. loved it in the action parts. would you send me the rns so i could maybe remix it? cheese. zazen
I made some notes while listening: 00:15 reminding me of 'an ending (ascent)' by brian eno 01:05 cant quite hear vocal sample - is this something to do with 07/07? 01:23 enough beatmashing already 01:34 finding the mix of intense drill and beautiful background a bit difficult 02:30 all going a bit too cheesy techno for me. dont like the snare 02:58 this is good, but I can't reconcile the different parts of this track in my head 04:04 nice that the initial chords came back 04:40 really like the beat here and the slightly voice-like chord thing It all sounds very competent, but I think there's too many style changes here. Its like four or five different tracks welded together: 00:00 to 01:06 is really nice ambient 01:06 to 02:03 is slightly annoying drill n bass 02:03 to 02:57 is cheesy (but kinda enjoyable) techno 02:57 to 04:04 is pretty cool computer game music 04:04 to 04:27 is a bit more drill, but softer 04:27 to 05:35 is harder to categorise, and was my favorite bit From the track title and the vocal sample, I got the idea in my head that this was 'about' the 7/7 attacks in London in some way. Certainly the ambient section fits in with that idea. But then with the drill, techno and game music I was left with an image of white-gloved ravers meeting Mario in a bomb damaged london underground tunnel. Which was a bit confusing. The moods are all different. There's some really good elements here though, I like the ingredients of the first minute and the last ninety seconds, and maybe the rest could be split out into different tracks. That is, I think I'd enjoy this more if you were to take some of the ideas and explore them in more depth, instead of moving so quickly between conflicting styles. Overall still quite impressive though, like a sonic portfolio. Bubba69
Did you try to use up all the tricks you know in one song. That melody is a little bit annoying for some reason. Otherwise I thought some parts were cool. The reverbed synth-runs were my favorite instrument.
