beak - limozeen

so i was commissioned by my crew of dawgs to do a track for a limousine ride to a football game this weekend, so i figured i'd put my microkorg to work for the first time, and here's what i came up with. oh and this is a total blatant ripoff of malcom kipe's "i'm your joystick," i'm a big fan of that track so i decided to completely rip it off. sorry mr. kipe. i figure it's only for a private party so might as well put forth zero effort into coming up with something original. anyway imagine a bunch of dudes in a limo drinking booze, etc. *activates wang*

Yeah the claps in this and the beats are supa good ... very electro hip 2 the hop. I like the thick sounding vocoder vocal too and those synths ... very Jake Slazenger.

That said although all the elements have great production and the record sounds great, I felt to make this an awesome track that a few more layers would have the roof right off. Nice vibe though and luv those real hand claps ... street.

Yeah needs a bassline and maybe some jazzy street chords. You add a bass and really build this track up and it would be fuckin' awesome. At the moment it really just feels like the beginning of a potential awesome tune.

cool thanks for the listens. what's a street chord? i will probably attempt another track similar to this later on but more original and not just a novelty tune for a party.

Something kinda faux jazzy ... kinda 80s early 90s ish. Sort of chords/sound combos they use in hoody movies such as 'Boys In the Hood', 'Do the Right Thing' etc and listen to artists such as Jake Slazenger, Clatterbox, Herbie Hancock, 80s shit etc etc.

yeah i'm aware of limozeen the band, funny stuff. i even have a sticker of theirs. but that's just how cool people spell limozeen innit?

there are other works of you that i like more. interesting work though.

i love it. I especially love the yelling of Limozeen. that is so awesome. just some good groove here.
