88 key Fender rhodes - dyno my piano mod...

Recommended Posts

So... it's 500 USD...

It has the dyno-my-piano preamp and eq

88 key...

apparently in good condition...

I don't know if it's stage or suitcase....

getting pictures tomorrow....

It's about an hour drive or so, so I'd like to be totally comitted before I go (obviously if it's total cack then I won't get it)

Supposedly in tune and everything though...

All legs and sustain pedal (leads me to believe it's stage)

....so... what's it worth? what should I look for? etc....

sorry to be so general.

thanks you music makers.

it turns out the guy thinks it's a mark 1 stage, 88 key.

supposedly been in a house most of it's life.

good tolex/tines.... and *mostly* in tune.

Tuning them is a simple enough process anyway. It's just a case of moving up/down a little metal thingamajig that's attached to one of the tines.

buy the shit out of it, then sell it to me for a reduced price.

Shout outs to the saracens, musulmen and celestials.

got my 1975 Mk-I Stage 73 for $750. excellent condition.

$500 is a great deal if it's in good shape. the preamp should be a nice addition.

yeah I saw that, but then again are you stateside? apparently they're worth more overseas...

The preamp seems like it should be ill, I take it with this you could just run it into your line level and bust out the dope jams?

but yeah... still waiting on pictures.... :cry2:

i am in michigan.

i run mine directly into a line/mice input an m-audio firewire 410. the preamps on the 410 are actually quite nice, and warm up the rhodes just fine.

eventually i' like to get something like a pod for virtual amps and essential rhodes fx, like stereo vibrato, chorus, delay, etc...

in a perfect world i'd have a fender twin, or a vox ac60 to run it through.

i'd have to run mine into my novation x-station, so i'd rather use a better pre, still those ADC's tho :/

...what about guitar rig instead of the pod? or are you wanting to escape the computer....

ah yes...but then you'd need your mic assortment and treated rooms...

I got pics now... it looks a little rough-er than I hoped...

But this shows that it is a Mark 1 Fender Rhodes....

I'm torn...

:duel:

what's the news you watmms?

Guest blicero

sorry, man. could go either way. good price, but might need some TLC. i've seen people do custom tolex jobs that look real nice if you're game for it. what really counts is if it is in decent working condition. and that would require that you actually go and play it.

just installed guitar rig... you're right. fuck the pod. this shit is great. and fun... sounds great with the rhodes.

you can buy it with the pedal too, would be slick for live use...

I think I may try to negotiate the price a bit... in light of recent ugliness...

if i could get for 350-400 (maybe) that'd be strilla.

  blicero said:
well, if it works well, that price is still reasonable. especially since it's got the dyno kit.

i'd ask the dudes over at the fenderrhodes.com forums. they'll tell you what to do.

that forum's a ghost town :cry2:

i'd get it asap, rhodes arent supposed to look shiney & new, i'd say this one looks fine and if you want to have it look clean & shiney there are loads of ways to patch it up, 350$ would be a very nice deal but 500$ wouldnt be bad either
