Guest
hmm i'm doing up some reading on fnord as i didn't know what it is... Quote A conspiracy of the world's controlling powers conditions everyone from a young age to be unable to consciously see the word "fnord"; instead, every appearance of the word will unconsciously generate a general feeling of uneasiness and confusion. on wiki. we are unable to see the word fnord on the geogaddi cd? Fredd-E
taken from: http://fredd-e.narfum.org/boc/comments/ Quote It is of interest that the music70 website lists the track as "magic window fnord". Those familiar with "The Illuminatus! Trilogy" will recognize the reference. [Nick Potter]submitted the following observation: in the novel, "fnord" is a word that people in general have been trained not to see - instead, it merely induces a vague feeling of anxiety in the reader. The music70 listing may therefore have a slightly deeper meaning than being a simple reference to the novel; it may be a jokey suggestion that the track is indeed present, but that we have simply been programmed not to hear it. Candiru
If you decode it, you will receive an equation. If you solve it, you will be given the url to stream BoC's new album. But then, a super freaky alien frequency will erase all memory of it from your brain. This is how BoC's "new" album has been out for two years, but nobody knows it. It also ensures its timelessness. OneToThirtySix
I think fnord is the remix of Magic Window, where you can actually hear the silence. But I think they should've actually called the track 'Tinnitus'.
