ten fingers ten toes
Really dug the beats, except for the weird breakdown at about 1:50 where it goes straight 4 to the floor. The melody is pretty minimal, moreso than I have a taste for I guess. Also the 303(is.. lackluster? I dunno. A very 90's feel to it I think. I dug the atonal bits at the end more. I guess if it were me I'd try to concentrate more of the track around something like that? To my ears that's a much more fresh feeling than the 303ish thing. Also, this song calls out for an 80's hip hop "f-f-f-fresh!!!!" scratch sample. Guest Kazuo
the sounds are a bit thin because its a mc-303 which is sample-based (as you know, i guess). the track was something that didnt take long to do but i liked the simple, minimalistic vibe of it. the other stuff i do is not as "retro" as this. Zephyr_Nova
First thought was that it needs more variation, but then a simple fill followed by some nifty melodic reverby stuff occurred --really like that bit. The detuning synths are also very cool. I like this more as the track progresses. Something extra with the production could bring it to the next level, but there are lots of elements in this that I quite liked. I almost lost interest at the start, but then it changed and regained my attention. Maybe do something more with the intro to make it grab the listener sooner.
