from the warp letter

As Tom himself notes, “It’s full of tunes. It’s what you do after you’ve gone to the brink - have a laugh.”

So, he had some sort of break(through)down and he's better now?

Did anyone see that MTV Europe interview where they went to his flat to interview him? Dirty as fuck, and that 303 was caked with grime (and I don't mean the music).

Here's what the letter really says:

Tom said something like "it's full of tunes", but WARPBOT said the have a laugh bit.

Easty's quotation marks are fan fiction :flower:

Tom is trying hard to be the mad muso with breakdowns and fear of flying etc...its not the first time we have heard of a breakdown.....Ultravisitor suffers from too much reverb so maybe he was hitting the drugs a bit

i may be wrong but to me ultravisitor sounds much more "loose"... while ultravisitor contains a fair amount of tom just playing around and "unlistenable" experimentation, hello everything is more disciplined.

don't get me wrong, ultravisitor is pretty cool. but i never understood why so many people think it's something like a "concept album"... to me it sounds just like a loose collection of tracks, sound experiments and improvisations, some of them (in fact, a lot of them) are cool, some are uninteresting, and even the cool ones are pretty bulky. on hello everything, eight of the 12 tracks are completely brilliant IMO.

ah, yes, that one... i liked that one.

he seriously reminds me of a guy that lived in the apartment suite thingy next to mine my junior year of college. he was intoxicated a lot, and had similar hair and beard formations
