ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR COMPILATION

Recommended Posts

This is the official announcement for the Rhythm Method compilation to be released on Experimedia in February/March 2006. This release will be made available in FLAC (lossless), MP3, and OGG formats, will include high quality artwork, will be promoted worldwide, and distributed worldwide via several digital delivery technologies.

Concept : A dance compilation. Our loose definition of dance is any electronic based song with a rhythmic beat between 120bpm and 170bpm. Doesn't necessarily have to fall into your usual "dance" music genre. We are seeking new unreleased tracks. No tracks over 10 minutes.

Submissions : Open to all. Direct links to compressed files only. Save your masters. If accepted we will require uncompressed masters. If you need file space to store your files we offer free file space to members. Simply sign up for a membership to our site and click the files link in the header to upload your file.

Deadline : February 7th, 2006, 07:00am Eastern Time

But I make all my tracks at 172 bpm.

I never usually go beyond 120bpm.

But seriously when you say dance what exactly do you mean? Do you mean like house and techno and pisstakes included? What about electro and electro funk etc?

Of course electro! Most especially electro. But pretty much anything that one might consider danceable. Allot of "electronic music" I would consider danceable as well. The last comp we did was mostly atmospheric and downtempo so I wanted to have the next comp be a more uptempo beat oriented experience in diversity.

Shit for all I care make up a new genre. You guys are good at that.

Damn field. Sorry to mess up your groove. Id like to hear what you were working on. Danceable at 100? I am interested.

BTW if you look at the news posting on experimedia I decided to take off the bpm cap. So 120 and beyond is what we are looking at.

EDIT : I like the name disco epilepsy.

Upon further consideration the concept and requirements for this have changed a bit. There is no longer any tempo limitations.

An eclectic rhythmic based compilation. Any electronic based track with rhythmic focus will be considered. No tracks over 10 minutes.

Danceable at 100bpm isn't that hard.... even at 90bpm you can get some pretty kickin' FRESH BEETS. or something. sub-85 is where it starts to become undanceable.
