Joyrex
Is this too cheesy? Wouldn't by using these sounds make your music sound like Otto's? Is this like using presets in other audio editing apps? I only ask because I know naught about making music and I'd someday like to try... Squee
Oh crap, I just found out that it's just a bunch samples. I was hoping for it to be a VST plug-in where you could alter the sounds just the way you wanted it. Like squee said, it'd be good if it was a proper VSTi, but as it stands it seems sorely as a tool for Otto-rip off making. awepittance
otto clearly copied my idea :innocent: Ottovonschiracherizer - A hybrid of the afextwinerizer, FX switcher, and Random cc sequencer. Random sample sequences are granulated, flanged, and put through reverb with a random switch. Every 16th note the knobs of all filters and sample gain parameters change to a random position *Not really meant for using in music, mostly for pure pleasure* go Edited November 2, 2006 by Ghostbusters III Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/14235-otto-and-kontakt2/#findComment-288846 Share on other sites
Squee
But still, if I stumble upon it here in a store I'd buy it because there might be a lot of DSP samples worth using. Guest maus
this is actually a pretty good library. it's not as rip-off-ish as you might think. otto debuted this at our KORE event in LA back in march, and it's been creating a bit of a buzz ever since. as with any tool, it is what you make of it. you could easily construct ottomatic stuff with this, but there is plenty to be remangled and reformulated into new stuff. pretty comprehensive and a lot of fun. additionally, the kontakt 2 player does allow you some control over what you can do with the sound, and if you have the real kontakt 2, you can completely rearrange, reorder, and mangle the samples. peese! c Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/14235-otto-and-kontakt2/#findComment-289203 Share on other sites

Guest Cyanescens
im sure its programmable. but buying that is just like buying a u2 ipod or some other random novelty. why not just get a daw or fruity loops/ reason. looks to me like warps at it again, trying to make some skrilla.
