No, I know what's happened. Chaosmachine explained this to me when it happened to a thread in the AFX subforum. There is a glitch in the forum's database which means that many threads started around #15000 no longer exist. When you try to view them, you get something like this:

Then someone finds the thread, replies to it, and their reply becomes the first post, which explains why the username of the topic starter doesn't match the username of the first post.
