how about a watmm collaboration album

how about an album (ep?) made by as many people on watmm that want to participate.

basically, every software would make a separate track, so there'd be an fl studio track, a reason track, etc. someone posts the start up thing for that software, other people download it, change it, repost it, and the cycle continues until some arbitrary point in time

I'll start

fl studio zipped loop file, a sort lil ambient thing I made about a year ago, would work as an intro to a song.

i would make a track for this, but i've not managed to make a track for about a month and a half as i've been workling full time and am just too fucking knackered.

i am currently working with some new ideas and am also now using renoise and ableton.....

i WILL post a new track at some point in the not too distant future, but i keep gettiing home meaning to sort it out, then i have a joint, then i just stare at the wall for 2 hours, then i go to bed.

I dunno, I figured it'd be hard for some people to work with an mp3.

I guess I'm cool with an mp3 if everyone else is alright with that.

just export each pattern/track/whatever as an mp3, zip it, then post it here. Not quite as good as the original file, but it works for those of us using obscure software.

what the hell?? it's going to be the SAME track, just fiddled with by different people on different software? fuck that.

i'd rather people make either a bassline, riff, beat then someone creates a song from it.

we did a watmm collab about 2 1/2 years ago where we got paired up (i was with tlink - where he these days..not seen him since Katrina was heading for Miami last year...) and the results were mixed and then never really presented.

sorry to be negative. but it won't produce any worthwhile results.

Yah I was the one who tried to organize the first WATMM collaberation. It was an epic failure, due mostly to inability to actually collaberate well. There's a post floating around somewhere with all of the pairings, Ill see if I can dredge it up for a laugh.
