so i stopped trying to make hiphop and let it come naturally and this is the first thing i've finished since the awakened ep was scrapped. i've only heard it on cheap headphones and cheap speakers so i'm sure there are mixing problems. i'd like to know what you think.

brilliant. a lovely piece of music.

what the fuck "synth timbres"? the natural pieces of the music make it great. i love the rain thing going on in the back.

kickass

i use the word synth extremely liberally and incorrectly

also hopefully awkward understands the irony coming from a dude who only uses a cheap guitar in his songs

i'm impressed, very nice man. i would add a little analysis here, but you seem to have things under control. the sound is outstanding. soft, not compressed to death etc etc. i dig it.

alright, here's a critic.

first off the whole composition of the song is great, it works extremely well. i especially like the dip around 3:30, that works beautiful, you get a real sense that something is going to happen. the production is dry/roomy and works really great for most part of the song - apart from that dip i mentioned, you could maybe do something to that because its really dry. also i think some parts don't flow that great yet, like the watery stuff - it's too much like static at some points. i start hearing a loop and it gets a little weird then. maybe turn it down a little in the mix later on where it's standing out more or replace it with a really long or a more dynamic version. finally i think the drums could at some points do with some subtle changes, just to break the static so to say.

ur turn pls :) -> http://forum.watmm.com/index.php?showtopic=15790

the watery stuff? oh the background noise? yer i'll lower it when its too obvious.

drums variance is definetely something required when i revisit this track.

so you like the 3:30 dip but its too dry?

i'll relisten to the half assed tunes soon and post more thoughts

oh and thanks btw

yeah the 3:30 part leading to around 4:30 is very nice in the whole of the track, and maybe this works so well because then the buildup to the next part sounds better, as the contrast is bigger.
