Guest Cyanescens
I just got an audio interface (M-Audio Firewire Solo) and Im trying to record myself. But after I installed all the drives and bullshit, I open up Cubase, and there isnt sound coming in... Eventually I got it so I could record sound, but then, no sound would come from Cubase. Like, I could record, and information was being recorded, but when I tried to play it back, it wouldnt play. And when I record it, sound isnt traveling into my monitors. Does anyone know what I have to do to my ASIO sound settings so this problem can be resolved? Cyanescens for anyone that leads me to the answer! Alzado
assuming that your hardware configuration has passed Cubase's ASIO buffer test (run this if you haven't already), you should be working properly. make sure that you have your audio track selected to record and that the monitor button in the track is properly selected (this is the most likely culprit, see picture #1 below). also, in device setup, ensure that you have the proper ASIO driver selected (see picture #2 below). i hope you're up and running soon.
