Guest AlexPallas
i need a free spectral analysis program that allow you to open a sound file and look at the frequencies so i can test some compare some bootlegs. already downloaded a few but they dont let you load audio files into them. someone help me out here. pylonbitch
you could probably get hold of a copy of wavelab if you look hard enough in some dodgy places. failing that, i'd recommend 'inspector'. inspector Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide pylonbitch's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/16002-spectral-analysis-programs/#findComment-327388 Share on other sites

Guest AlexPallas
alright guize i just tried wavelab out, i compared a lame mp3 and a lossless wav as they played (one at a time) in realtime, i didnt notice any difference between the two files, i suppose what i need is a tool which will allow me to look at the complete spectral analysis of an intire song (to compare it to a complete spectral analysis of the same file in another format) and compare the frequencies of each file to find out which file is more pure. is that the best way to go about it? the live download section will eventually get a make over and i need a program for analysis for that purpose. Guest A/D
cool edit or adobe audition (same program, audition is a later version and has more spectral features) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/16002-spectral-analysis-programs/#findComment-337411 Share on other sites
