Hello. My name is Twentyfourange and i discovered this forum only recently.

Until now i had nothing to say.

This is my most recent song i made for the holidays and i want to make it longer but don't know where to take it. Perhaps you have a few suggestions?

Feel free to chew it up and spit it out at your leisure.

Nice piano thingy. A little too nice for my ears, but you definently got skills. I think it needs some solid drums, like Aphex Twin's "On". It's a little weak as it is. Get some strings and distorted kicks to counter the piano tune.

Too nice for me tho, as i'm more into harder stuff, and more melacholic/spooky ambient.

general suggestions:

add some nice subtle pads right from the beginning. get some nice floaty stuff going on in the high and low ranges, piano in the middle, stay out of its way :shade:

some other ambient sounds or field recordings would be nice. kids in a playground?

i'm with texx. the drums need to be crisper, snappy, on the edge of distracting but not over it.

for extending it:

repeat piano with variation, add some sort of bassier, but still vaguely natural element. i'm thinking a slow chello bassline, maybe gradually going from one voice to a harmony?

no idea. to me it sounds good as is. you know what little special thing you can add. what makes yourself different from others. dunno.

The piano sounds like shit to me. I challenge anybody here to a sequenced piano duel. PM me if interested. 'tis a little soft but I enjoy the melody, It just needs more to it. But your not hopeless.
