I went to the release party at Sonotheque. Man, he sucks live. Some good tunes he was playing though. Don't forget that 40winks release as well though.

To his defense, the sound at sonotheque that night was really fucked up. One of the cables was busted and it kept cutting out the left and right of the stereo, so it sounded messed up. that alone kind of ruined the flow of things and he wasn't able to do the things he was planning on doing for the show. check out the album though, some really excellent tracks on it

Yeah, I noticed it cut out a few times, but it would have been nice to see him do something besides click "open file" all night. I was standing behind him and saw that that's pretty much all he did. But yeah, as I said, some of the tunes were tight. You're his girlfriend right?

I totally agree with you on this, I was really disappointed in my performance as well. I ended up working on the album until the very last minute and gave myself two evenings to adapt it so I could play it live, big mistake. When I realized I was going to have to do the fucking electronic music 'open file' bullshit my stomach started churning and I almost bailed out. I only had "interactive" stuff ready for two songs and that was a real drag, but next time I'll be much more prepared so don't write me off just yet :)

i heard a proswell album in my favorite record store, etherea, and bought it immediately. can't remember which one it was, had the psychedelic illustrations all over it, kinda neat. anyway, i remember thinking it wasn't everything it could be. it definitely had some amazing moments, so i'd be curious to check this out if it's new material.

probably 'carrot dossier', i agree that wasn't everything it could have been. this is all new material and it's much more developed, though i still feel it could have been developed further, it was a bit of a rush job to get it to merck before they close their doors. that said, i think it's a pleasant listen.
