mos def - true magic

Apparently mos def's new album is released early, just picked it up today. this isnt a review as much as a notice. I will say its good though.

New album?!

This is awesome news - has he returned to the sound of Black On Both Sides, or stuck with the sound he had on his last album?

it actually sounds more like his urban thermo dynamics stuff to me, but definitely more like black on both sides than the new danger album. its rather good. a few tracks that are 100% solid, and a few that'll have to grow on me, but overall its top notch.

Just listening to this right now, and I'm digging it.

Seems to have a bit of 'dirty' sound, if that makes any sense - think it's because a lot of the samples sound like they were taken from 70's tracks.
