its not like they hired autechre to go make a NEW song for this ad, but keeping their autechre sound. someone making the ad thought "oh, this ae track that I like would work here" so they call up ae, and say, yeah, this song you wrote, its nice, heres some cash, and ae go "sweet!"

i think it's great. i'm particulary interested to hear if it's a different version than what's on the album, anyway.

someone told me before that cos of licensing intermediaries, artists make very little on music that warp licenses.

now indepently licensing stuff like teh boc did for that ad is a different story, i believe.
