Guest aeser
ok so say you do things in 96khz because it sounds awesome and everything, of course to put it on a cd you have to degrade it to 44.1, but dvd audio and super audio cd's can handle 96khz audio, so if you have a dvd burner can you possibly burn a dvd of the audio in some format that can be played on dvd audio players? is there any way to do this DIY? or is it you just have to burn the data files of the 96khz audio and bring it to a mastering house who can somehow work their wizardry into making it a playable dvd-audio. i figure a super audio cd you'd need some fancy pants ridiculous specialized and probably stupid expensive burner device to make a disk. but yea, can anybody shed any light onto this for me? Guest Adjective
found this project, though it hasn't been updated since 2005 http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net/ Quote This project is still in the early stages of development but a working DVD-Audio authoring application supporting 16-bit & 24-bit Mono and Stereo audio at all DVD-Audio samplerates (44.1KHz to 192KHz) is available in the Alpha-Releases directory. Instructions for use are in the Howto. and here's an old article describing the format http://www.tape.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/t...ssette+ncvi8745 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/16332-question-about-burning-96khz-playable-audio/#findComment-333336 Share on other sites
